Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established yet vastly expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new Forklift Engineer to work at their workshop in Dewsbury. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to get into a new position with long term earning potential and progression.


  • Servicing a fleet of forklift trucks and other warehousing equipment at the workshop in West Yorkshire
  • Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently 
  • Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
  • Ensuring that all health and safety standards are maintained in the workshop


You will ideally have experience with servicing forklifts in the past however this is not essential. The company would also be open to applicants with experience in commercial vehicles, construction equipment and agriculture. If you only have a small amount of experience, this position could also be suitable for you as the role comes with an element of training and salary is reflective of previous experience. In terms of location, you must be based in commutable distance of Dewsbury.


  • Up to £32,500 – dependent on years’ experience as an engineer
  • Overtime paid at time ½ and double on Sundays and bank holidays
  • Yearly bonus
  • 23 days holiday, rising to a maximum of 30
