Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated sales professional to work for one the UK’s leading material handling dealers covering the Milton Keynes postcode’s and surrounding areas. With exponential growth through acquisitions over the last few years, this company offers its Area Sales Managers fantastic commission opportunities and have a strong reputation within the region they work.  

Responsibilities

  • Managing an existing client base across the MK postcodes.
  • Business development across the same area  
  • Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for forklift hire
  • Sell a variety of other equipment to include plant hire, access and sweepers
  • Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of material handling and related equipment
  • Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth

Requirements 

You will ideally have worked in a sales role within forklift trucks before, with a proven track record in the industry. However, the company are open to individuals from other capital equipment backgrounds. Ultimately, you will be proactive in your approach to selling and will have a solid understanding of equipment hire. The role is covering a well worked patch so the position is ideal for an experienced sales professional from within MHE looking for a change with the opportunity to sell a range of equipment. In terms of location, the company can be flexible for candidates anywhere within the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Selling a variety of products including one of the worlds leading brands, the company have been operating for over 50 years and already have a firm foothold in the East and South Midlands. Due to continued expansion, they’re looking for another sales person to help continue the organizations growth across the Milton Keynes area.
