Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base in postcodes across the Midlands. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for either an experienced racking sales professional or an internal sales person looking for the next step in their career, within the racking & storage industry.

Responsibilities

· Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking and other equipment

· Development and implementation of a sales plan to grow the given territory selling their racking and storage solutions

· Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sales of racking and storage solutions

· Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth

· Work with material handling providers to gain relevant leads

Requirements

The company ideally require an individual with previous racking experience in a sales capacity though individuals from related warehouse equipment sectors may be considered. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will ideally have experience of conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations. An individual with 2-3 years field sales or internal sales experience would be preferable given the company are looking for someone they can mold to some extent. In terms of location, you will ideally be based around the Midlands area though the company are open to considering candidates as far south as Milton Keynes.

In addition to these products, they also have a heavy focus on furniture and showroom products supplying into motorsport, general automotive and general warehousing and distribution among others. Having been established for over 20 years and with a strong reputation across gained over this time, they now require a new sales person based in the Midlands to help expand the business further.
