Job Description
Alexander James Recruiting is working with a leading manufacturer of various heavy and light duty conveyors, seeking a motivated and strategic sales professional to develop their innovative, automated panel former discharge conveyor across North America. With the opportunity to grow this into a larger team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced, solutions focused sales professional who has experience selling into manufacturing plants and specifically panel rolling & forming, sheet metal and building products.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the companies sales strategy in relation to their automated panel/roll forming conveyor products
- Form and develop relationships with key OEM’s within building products to include sheet metal, roofing and various panel manufacturer’s
- Conduct site survey’s, detailed quotations and work with the technical team on providing details CAD design’s and plant layout’s
- Attend various customer exhibitions and have the flexibility to travel where and when required
- Over time, grow a team and develop a division within the business successfully
Requirements
The company require an individual who is a self-starter and able to develop relationships successfully via specific revenue streams. Experience of selling into and having strong understanding of the manufacturing process in industries such as sheet metal, paneling, roofing and general building products is highly preferable. Knowledge of conveyors would be preferable though not essential but a general understanding of CAD drawings and the design process is a must. This is a role with a lot of scope to developed a product within automation and therefore would suit an individual who is motivated to build something long term and grow with the organization who are providing the infrastructure to do so. In terms of location, the coverage is the whole of North America but those located in the Mid West or West are of particular interest. You will be willing to travel where required in order to win the business.

With a focus on both light and heavy duty conveyors they’re part of a wider group that has recently acquired a light duty conveyors focused business. Having developed, a new innovative, semi automated product they’re now seeking a national sales person to manage and develop their client base across the US.
