Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established, expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new field-based forklift service engineer to service their client base around the Birmingham and Coventry areas. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced field engineer interested in a new role. 

Responsibilities

  • Servicing a client based around the Birmingham and Coventry areas
  • Servicing forklift trucks & other material handling equipment 
  • Fixing other equipment to include plant hire
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when servicing & repairing forklifts & other equipment
  • Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call

Requirements 

The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background but this is not essential. The company are open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access, automotive/commercial vehicles or any other related sectors, provided you have strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience. You will be able to work well on your own initiative and have good customer facing skills. Ultimately, the company are after an individual with the right attitude and work ethic. In terms of location you can be based anywhere within the Birmingham (B) or Coventry (CV) postcode areas.
