Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading provider of material handling equipment looking to recruit a field service engineer to cover their client base across the Scotland. Responsibilities
- Servicing a client base across Scotland with a focus on servicing forklift trucks
- Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and pallet trucks
- Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
- Reporting back to the Service Manager with weekly updates and going to the depot on occasion
- Attending in-house training programs as and when required
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background however this isn’t essential. They would also be interested in speaking with individuals from a heavy plant, agriculture or HGV background. It is also essential that you hold a relative qualification such as a SVQ/NVQ in plant maintenance or similar. You will be able to work well on your own with your own initiative and have good customer-facing skills. In terms of location, you will need to be based in an Edinburgh postcode or within an hour’s commute.

The Company
Operating for nearly forty years, the client is a well-known provider of forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment such as pallet and reach trucks. Working across a number of depots throughout the UK they have a strong foothold in areas across the country and are a main dealer for an international brand. Due to a number of changes they now require an experienced forklift engineer to cover Scotland from their depot inn Edinburgh.
