Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on-board a new Site Engineer to maintain a fleet of trucks on a customer site in Sheffield. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to get into a new company.

Responsibilities

· Servicing a fleet of Material Handling equipment on a customer site in Sheffield focusing on forklift trucks

· Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment

· Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way on customer site

· Maintaining a tidy work station at all times

· Liaising with the site manager and service manager with regular service updates

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. It is also essential that you are capable of working on your own initiative as you will be the sole engineer covering this site. you will ideally be based in Sheffield or the surrounding areas.
