Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a Junior Project Manager to work in a field based role managing their ongoing racking projects across Yorkshire and the UK.  Responsibilities

  • Managing the company’s projects to fit customers’ requirements for racking and storage
  • Creating project plans to fit with the expectations of the company’s clients; liaising with them throughout the duration of the project
  • Working closely with manufacturers of racking, flagging up any issues throughout timeline of project delivery
  • Overseeing cost management and working with external contractors to maximize the efficiency of project completion
  • Visiting sites regularly across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK to liaise with clients and oversee project progress

Requirements

The company are ideally looking to bring on a candidate working within the racking & storage industry who wants to get into project management. This isn’t essential, however, they would also be interested in speaking to graduates who hold qualifications in engineering, project/construction management or similar. Another option would be someone with project management experience from a closely related industry. In terms of location, the ideal candidate would be based within commutable distance of Huddersfield as there will be an expectation to attend the office. A full UK driver’s license is also a requirement as the position will require national travel.

Our client are a national provider of various types of racking and storage systems having been established for over 50 years. Based in Yorkshire but operating nationally they provide a wide range of products to include pallet racking, mezzanine, shelving, partitioning storage bins & workbenches. Due to significant growth, they’re seeking a project manager to add to their team.
