Alexander James Recruiting is seeking a National Business Development Manager to work across the UK selling pallets. With a competitive basic, company car and bonus this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual from a similar background seeking an exciting role with a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities
· Working with existing accounts on a national basis selling a variety of pallet products
· Developing this client basis further by selling through both distribution and end user’s
· A particular focus on expanding the companies pallet range
· Working with 3rd party pallet providers by buying in and pricing pallets effectively
· Provide a consultative approach to selling and providing customer’s with the right solutions
Requirements
The company has a high preference for an individual with related experience of pallets. There is flexibility on the route to market experience given the company are able to fit this to some extent round the individual. Experience via retail or warehousing and logistics would be of particular interest whether end user or distribution focused as would individuals who have exposure of selling related products such as plastic container’s, boxes or pallets. Ultimately the successful individual needs to have a solutions focused mindset and ability to consult on customer requirements. Given the nature of the role in terms of the operational and t5echnical aspects an individual with a strong background in pallets from a non sales environment may also be considered. There is a preference for an individual to be based close to the head office in the East Midlands though this is by no means essential.

The Company
The company are a manufacturer of various types of material handling equipment. Their product range includes roll containers, cages, trolley’s, plastic container’s, pallets and related equipment. Having operated for over half a century, they supply various sectors to include general warehousing & logistics, retail, post & parcel delivery, automotive, food service distribution and laundry. Supplying both to end user’s and via distribution the company are expanding and therefore seeking a new Business Development to work on a national basis and develop their client base.
