Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading, international supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base in postcodes across the West Midlands. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced solution sales professional looking for a new opportunity. 

Responsibilities

  • Managing an existing client base across the West Midlands
  • Business development across the same area with a focus on end users
  • Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking, storage and shelving  
  • Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sales of racking and storage solutions
  • Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth
  • Keeping the CRM system updated and maintaining organization with customers

Requirements 

You will ideally come with prior experience working within the racking and storage industry, however the company are open to looking at individuals with some form of sales and design background within a related sector, such as partitioning, fabrication or kitchen design who can also demonstrate a strong sales track record. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will ideally have experience of conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations. Knowledge of CAD would be advantageous but not essential. Ultimately, you must be a sales and solution focused professional with the ambition to progress into a more responsible role. The ideal candidate will also live in or ideally very close to Birmingham.
