Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of Warehouse Automation & Software products that are looking to bring an electrically biased Senior Design Engineer to work on projects nationally. With a competitive base salary and overall package, this is a great opportunity for a design engineer with experience designing electrical systems and working within a closely affiliated industry.
Responsibilities
- Creating detailed electrical designs to fit with the customer’s requirements using Eplan software
- Working alongside the procurement team through the production of bills of materials and the processing of documentation
- Ensuring that all electrical designs comply with engineering standards
- Working closely with the sales, projects and technical teams throughout each stage of the project, producing all relevant documentation when required
- Attending project sites nationally as and when required to inspect electrical installations and liaise with team/client
Requirements
Our client is ideally looking for an individual with a strong electrical design background working within Warehouse Automation. This isn’t essential however, they are also open to candidates who have electrical design experience working within capital equipment, other types of automation or similar. It is vital for the role that you hold an Electrical Engineering qualification, are adept using Eplan software and have a strong working knowledge of both 18th edition and EN60204. The position will be mostly working from home but there will be a requirement to attend the office in the East Midlands once per week. You must hold a full UK driver’s license as there will be an expectation to travel to customer sites around the country.
