Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading dealer of Material Handling equipment looking to on-board a new Technical Trainer to provide technical support and guidance to their engineers. Responsibilities
- Providing support, training and coaching to the current team of engineers, looking to improve their on-the-job efficiency and effectiveness by expanding their current technical knowledge and experience.
- Creating product training presentations, or amending current, and delivering to the engineering team to further expand current skillsets.
- Exploring and researching new training methods and technologies to assist with current and future training or technical support processes.
- Conducting assessments and audits on engineers in order to create and implement training plans, looking to establish strengths and areas for improvement based on findings.
- Attending customer visits, alongside engineers, in order to promote best practice and ensure a reduction in damage to or downtime of equipment.
Requirements
The company are looking for a person with experience of providing coaching or training within a similar role in the Material Handling industry. They would also be open to an experienced engineer looking for an opportunity to move into a coaching role. This person would ideally be from a Material Handling background; however they would also look at candidates from a similar background such as construction equipment, commercial vehicles, agriculture or automotive. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in East London or the surrounding areas.

The Company
The company are a nationwide dealer of forklift trucks, thus operating in the material handling industry. Selling a variety of products, ranging from Still to Nissan and Hyundai, the company have been operating for over 40 years and already have a firm foothold across the whole of the UK. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to bring on another Technical Trainer to coach and support their current engineer team.
