Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with one of the world’s leading Material Handling equipment manufacturers that are looking to recruit new Workshop Engineers to work at their depot in West Yorkshire. With a competitive salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer interested in a new role or an individual from a similar background looking to get into the industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Servicing the company’s fleet of new and used forklift trucks and other specialist Material Handling equipment.
  • Preparing all equipment for dispatch to customers including conducting PDIs on new, short-term rental equipment and rebuilding used equipment for sale.
  • Adhering to the company’s health & safety policies whilst working on site
  • Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader
  • Developing an understanding of the manufacturer’s products and assisting with new staff further down the line

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background due to the requirements of the role, however this is not essential. They will also consider candidates with a background working within a closely related industry such as plant equipment, automotive, commercial vehicles or similar. You will be able to work well on your own and as part of a team whilst being able to develop your skillset and learn as you go. In terms of location, you will need to be based within West Yorkshire.
